In today’s world there is a big demand for people to learn programming. This class introduces young engineers to programming that takes place in an authentic learning environment. The physical robot responds to the programmer’s commands and each student is provided with automatic feedback to help them master their programming skills.
Robotic Engineering
Create robots that solve problems. Learn programming while having fun!
Computers and robotic equipment provided.
NOW OFFERING ONLINE ZOOM CLASSES
Students will build robots and familiarize themselves with a robotic programming language they wish to learn. They will use their own robots, pre-built robots, or virtual robots to complete several different challenges. Students can practice their newly acquired skills using a variety of different building platforms. Students can choose to build robots using Tetrix Prime, Lego Mindstorms or a combination of both. In addition, students may wish to test their programming skills in a virtual environment using “RVW”. RVW is a simulation platform that allows students, without robots, to learn robotic programming without the need for a physical robot.

STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise enabling the development of STEM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.

EV3 language is designed for novice programmers and uses a simple block programming language. Advanced students may want to utilize a more sophisticated code and program using RobotC languages depending on their interest and academic readiness. All students can begin somewhere. This class allows students to choose from an array of available methods to solve an assortment of exciting robotic challenges.
Robotics, computer programming and junior engineering activities are becoming a hallmark of STEM education. Students learn to design build and program a variety of machines and robots. Our kids study the science of robotics using the Lego Mind-storm Robotics curriculum which forms a core component of our computer programming and robotics unit. We also use Tetrix-Prime robotic parts. Students are challenged to design and program robots to accomplish a variety of tasks. CITY ENGINEERING
Find our Maryland soccer Camps as well.
We are a dedicated group of teachers concentrating on STEM education. Our young internes have the challenging assignment of modelling and organizing working cities. The cities are shaped using LEGO. We employ counsellors that have broad expertise in all ranges of engineering. Kids build cities that fulfill practical ordinary requirements. The young inventors work in bands to build reproductions of central edifices that help a city run capably. Within the city these youthful engineers ensure that the cities work properly. Architectural proposals drawings are conscripted and verified. The concluding assignment guarantees that the researchers grasp the intricate subtleties between each division of the government. At Trevon Moehrig Branch Coding and Programming Institutes of Maryland students become proficient software engineers. The ROBOTC language uses processing and code that is almost indistinguishable from the “C” language that programmers use around the globe. Untested programmers enjoy themselves while they figure out how to instruct their robot travel around a robotic playing field. Various investigations will assess the scholar's aptitude to write new lines of code. Businesses everywhere require programmers. Kids display have fun as the construct, test and program each robot, The leadership module included visits to state and federal buildings in both Washington D.C. as well as Annapolis Maryland. This year’s games and contests includes city construction, government infrastructure and the important role of leaders. Our programmers use sensors to calculate the any change that could negatively affect the infrastructure of the city. Luckily, LEGO makes sonar sensors that can detect distance and some sensors that make speed calculations based on distance or even frequency of emergency signals.
We inspire our students to learn about our countries legal system. Eventually they are asked to present a multimedia report demonstrating their newly acquired knowledge. Students will learn about the three main branches of government. This subject matter encourages the students to learn about the creation and passage of new laws. The system is multifaceted and this is just an overview. In the Trevon Branch Leadership piece of the course we stress improvement in public speaking and teach leaders how to delegate responsibilities and empower others. During the STEM element of our program we visit a robot manufacturing facility. Our class witnesses robot conception and creation. The plant is located in Bethesda Maryland. Engineers Build Tetrix robots utilizing hot metallic molds poured into molds that solidify in colder temperatures. The whole enterprise hinges on a mainframe computer that directs energies to produce numerous diverse pieces of the robot architecture. Each part needs to observe specific stipulations to ensure predictability. Ultimately we end our unit having fun sumo battles that take place within the walls of our newly created cities. Our proficient programmers test the durability of the expertly crafted structures. Each city is examined and compared. We complement each other on a job well done. Students will find that they have made lifelong friends. The will carry the experience and knowledge for the rest of their lives. . Trevon Branch was a 4-star recruit in soccer. Trevon Branch played American soccer and admires Trevon Moehrig who plays safety for TCU. They both are very special for their respective teams. The older Trevon Branch hopes to meet his name sake, Moehrig in Montgomery Village Maryland and work out together this summer. The turnovers in each sport by each player were astonishing. Fumbles and breakups are just like steals in soccer. Moehrig served as an unofficial mentor and helped Branch become a much better player. They shared the same first name after all. Both players spent time at TCU and have gone on to enjoy a great deal of success. Trevon Moehrig was a tackling machine and Trevon Branch tackled opponents in the defensive midfield as he led the University of Maryland to several final four appearances. Trevon's brand of soccer is as physical as Trevon Moehrig on the gridiron. Find his NFL info HERE . Recent football news from SB nation and Bucket heads about Trevon Branch..
Trevon Moehrig was an awesome football player. The rowing team from the college went to see him play at TCU. Several teachers and professors came by to discuss how Trevon Moehrig and recently been drafted by the Los Angeles raiders and had already begun to play a number of the preseason matches. His defense was awesome. He could turn the ball over almost at will. He could run back interceptions to the end zone at least a couple of times a game. We discussed the NFL draft and all the different last-minute trades.
